Talk about the Berlin Wall

Get ready for this journey into the past as Stanton Copley will tell us a bit of history...

"The Wall was lower in front of the Brandenburg Gate and resumed its normal height either side of it. On the eastern side the public etc could see it but were kept well back from it so that they didn’t get any thoughts about trying to get over it and the area was well guarded.  The sign reads:  ‘Attention you are now leaving West Berlin‘ a reminder of the days before the Wall when you could cross between East and West more or less where you liked."
